I have been busy trying to do an assignment for a postgraduate module. But this article, struck me as to why we need to bring an number of services back into Public ownership. The only people who have benefited from privatisation of services, from buses, railways, social services and the NHS under Labour and Tories, are business people. There are no benefits for those in need, there is no ‘trickle-down effect. These people make money out of the tax-payer and politicians are happy about this, because they benefit as well.
An interesting article about the UK’s new deal. As usual, it is not good news, interest rates for ‘green deal’ loans as much as 7.5%. How will people on low incomes and suffering from fuel poverty be able to afford these loans at these rates?
A warning about the dangers of ‘fracking’.
I for one will not be wasting any time watching this monstrous abuse of the Olympic ideal. This article gives some idea why it is an affront to deficiency.
A couple of articles which have cropped up recently. Firstly one from the Rolling Stone magazine about the seriousness of Global Warming and the failure of our inept politicians. The other article is an article in response to a very flawed report arguing against regulations and product energy efficiency standards.

A blog from someone who like many right-minded people have fought against the privatisation of the NHS.

This video about Obama’s failed promises, also reflects what is wrong with politics in the UK. Though the second half of this video does lurch into the absurd, especially the denial of climate change. Labour, Conservatives and Liberal-Democrats are no different, we need a new type of politics. This is what the Green Party is about and campaigning for.
The US will not satisfied till it controls all the resources in South America.
